Dear Friends,

On behalf of the recent tornado victims in Moore, Oklahoma, Whisper of Hope will be collecting items for staging and distribution centers.  We will be filling bags with items such as work gloves, dust mask, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, wipes, granola bar, restaurant or grocery store gift card, encouraging note ….. small and useful items.  Right now, we have 150 bags to fill, and the targeted value of each bag will be around $20.  If you would like to help in this effort, you can donate with a credit card on our website at: www.WhisperofHope.org
Prayer is most crucial.  Our hearts break watching the reports.  Everyone please commit to pray. Whisper His Hope to the people of Moore, and all across the great state of Oklahoma.

Whisper of Hope is an Oklahoma registered not-for-profit organization with the 501(c)3 designation from the Internal Revenue Service filing under Arts and Humanities.  WoH is committed to empowering the less fortunate to discover and develop their hidden artistic talents by supplying creative art material in a Hope Tote to encourage the Art of Giving.  Believing that Art bridges the gaps between cultures, social classes and age, we build trusting relationship through the universal language of Art.

The founder, Denise Mills is an ordinary mother and retired educator with an extraordinary dream.  As the adopted daughter of a wonderful Oklahoma family, she wishes to make a difference in the lives of those who were not afforded such a blessed outcome.

Denise’s passion for painting and creative arts became the vehicle used to express her love for those in need.  Discovering peace, healing and hope as she painted, she realized it was as simple as putting a paintbrush in someone’s hand.

Whisper of Hope’s current project is providing Hope Totes filled with creative art supplies, to 13 year olds in Oklahoma County Foster Care on their 13^th birthday.  A Hope Tote has the recipe for giving printed on each one: 1) Enjoy it 2) Customize it 3) Refill it 4) Pass it on! 

It is Whisper of Hope’s wish, that you catch the wave, and enjoy the Art of Giving!
